Home!!!

The end of the school year proved to be very hectic, so I did go on blogging hiatus. It is good to be back since I am now home for the summer! I started posting this on facebook, but of course the whole thing was too much to post in a status update! I have been home for 2 full days (beginning day 3) and I have realized several things. First, Joey can climb the steps...I do not have enough baby gates. Second he will wait at the top of the gate to the den and he looks down longingly at his brothers. Next, he will play with the outside of anything...but he doesn't like being in them! Nicholas looks sweet on the outside, but can be a devil!!! Yesterday alone, he was talking back, hitting Danny and biting Danny!!! His favorite line is "4-year olds don't eat (fill in the blank)..." The only thing that is great about Nicholas is that he is remorseful when he does something wrong so I think he will turn out okay! Last, I have realized that Danny has camp next week...I have heard this fact 400 times today alone! Also, Danny has done very well not being in a routine...I guess it does get a little better as they get older. Hopefully he won't have a problem adjusting to a new routine on Monday! I will come back later to post about the swingset and TS3. I have some pictures to post as well!

Memorial Day Weekend (BLAH!)

So, this should be the unofficial start of summer...the unofficial start of no illnesses until the late Fall (right around the holidays). Not in the Wilson household...apparently my children did not get that message...all 3 went down for the count this weekend; between Thursday and Monday. Nicholas started it with a fever and no appetite...Joey quickly was next with a fever and diarrhea and Danny was last with a fever and vomiting. Of course, Danny, who takes after me with an absolute hatred for vomiting, he was stuck with it. We did get some family time in on Sunday with a visit to my Aunt and Uncle's so I guess I can't complain too much. But I want this "unofficial start of summer" to be the official end of our illnesses...and since they have struck us so bad this year...they need to be on hiatus until 2011! (Wishful thinking!)

Friday Night!

We had a fabulous Friday night tonight!!! I had a headache and didn't think I was up for Keith's suggestion to go to Applebees for dinner with Keith and the boys...but I did and I am so glad I did. They boys were on their absolute best behavior and we were really able to have a good time! They all ate something (Joey tried french fries in his mesh feeder and loved them!)...I would have never given Danny or Nicholas french fries at Joey's age...and they were really enjoyable to be around! After we were done, we went to Bed, Bath and Beyond where Nicholas made up a new song...using the words Bed, Bath and Beyond in them!
When we got home it was after 8 (and the two older boys are usually in bed no later than 8), so we threw all 3 boys in the tub at the same time. Danny suggested that we bathe them in the life cycle of a child...meaning start with Joey and end with him! What a thinker...I don't know where he gets that vocabulary!!! We had quick baths and they were in bed before 9! And all of them were happy and not fighting! What a great Friday night!!!!!!!

WOW!!!

Welcome to our blog!!! If you are brave enough to keep up with us and our daily lives, have fun! We love our kids and we love our life!! We have always wanted to write about the silly, funny things that come out of our boys' mouths.
So if you haven't figured it out yet, we have 3 boys...and no...we are not trying for that girl! Danny is the oldest, he has Asperger's Syndrome; Nicholas is the middle child and I have diagnosed him with MCS (yes, simply put, Middle Child Syndrome); and Joey is the youngest...and seeing how we still don't sleep every night through the night, you can tell that he is definitely the youngest of the bunch!!! Our weekly schedule is hectic and Joey has to go with the flow...he has no choice (and by nature does more sleeping in his carseat than in his crib, therefore sees the crib as a foreign object, we believe). We both work...full-time...I go to school (one class a semester in the hopes of getting my master's degree), and we run Danny to two therapies per week. With the therapies he is in, he is doing much better in school. Even with Danny's "disablility" (I hate that word, I like looking at his ablilities), he is the best oldest child we could ask for! Nicholas...well, he tells us his nickname is not Nicky anymore...he is Nicholas (he is only 4!). He is obsessed with his DS, but he is an awesome big brother and loves Joey...not that Danny doesn't, but Nicholas is at the age where he shows how much he loves his brother! He is also a challenge...you ask him to do something and until you actually threaten him, he won't do it!!! But he is charming and that makes it okay.?.? Joey - wild boy!!! He started scooting around before he was 5 months old...now at 7 months tries to pull everything down and if you or anything else are in his way, WATCH OUT! I am not used to this type of activity!!! He, however, is also (despite his hatred of sleeping) the happiest baby I have ever seen!!! He is always happy! He smiles and laughs and loves to watch everyone. When he cries he is telling you something...sometimes he just wants to go outside! And I swear sometimes, he thinks he is having a conversation with you when you talk to him! Anyway...you have heard enough! Funny quotes from the boys will follow, I'm sure! Actually one of my favorite ones of all time came from Nicholas this morning..."Will that complete your order?" Happy Monday...hopefully the weekend will come quick!!!!!!!!!
